I’m a proud feminist.

When I was younger I thought that men’s hatred defined feminism. I notice today that many think the same.

Feminism isn’t about hating men it’s about equality. 

Sadly it’s the “extremists” that gets attention. It’s the hatred for men that get noticed.

I’m a humanist and feminism is an important part of humanism.

Being a feminist isn’t about making women better than men.

For me being called a feminist is a pride. Because I’m in the battle of making all genders important, to reduce sexism, to reduce discrimination. It’s a fight for human rights. It’s used for everyone. No matter gender, religion, color, sexuality, gender identity, functional ability. It’s a fight for an equal life.

As not being known of being a feminist I get to hear alot of things about it, negative things. I get to hear things like “would you rather want your child to become a feminist or get cancer”.

And it frightens me. How people don’t know the difference between hatred of men and what feminism really is. People are scared of the word feminism, but they don’t know what it stands for. Ignorance.

For all my feminist friends out there, good job! Keep fighting for human rights, keep spreading knowledge of what feminism is. Thank you for the love you spread and the love you stand for. 

Dear America.

The world is watching you. Judging you. Waiting for you next step.

I have very few friends who support you, Trump. Swedish and American. You don’t have my support and I lack respect for you.

The world is watching and wondering how Trump could have won. The papers write about everything happening in American right now.

Videos of people protesting Trump and photos of  swastikas are spreading on the Internet. 

Young girls getting sexuality harassed because they (the ones who do the harassing) find inspiration in Trump’s view on women.

Jobs that will dissappear.

The word “race” will come back and once again it will divide us.

What will happen to our right to marry the love of our life no matter sexuality?

What will happen to the little safety the trans comminity have?

What will happen to the people who can’t pay for your old more expensive health care? 

What will happen to the right of being human?

How can’t you see the hardworking Americans that exists?

America’s history is far from clean. You were immigrants from the beginning too but you keep forgetting.

A right to bear guns is a reason for the many shootings and suicides in America, the only way to change that is stricter gun controll.

The world is watching fearing both a civil war and world War III.

American is one of the most influential nations in the world. 

When America’s economy fails so does the rest of the world’s.

Barack Obama didn’t only change America, he helped making the world a better place. One step in the right direction. Calling him the worst president in American history is to mock the progress America did as a nation between 2008 and 2016.

We are many to believe that many Americans voted on Trump because they don’t want a female president.

I am not calling Trump supporters anything. I am not judging the ones of you who did. I don’t care about your reasons why.

All I am saying is that the world is watching, holding its breath, fearing what to come. And I am one of them.
 

Always remember to treat each other with love and kindness no matter your disagreements.

Third attempt, this should work now!

So the first of may, I followed some friends and demonstrated, turns out I had an amazing time. One of the best days of my life. I made new friends and I got to do something that I believe in.

A big thank you for everyone who helped making this day and evening very special to me!

Gypsy heart.

I am a gypsy.
We ain’t accepted.  More people accept different skin colors than what they accept the gypsy family. We are one big family.

I today got accused of being a racist. Because I didn’t want to meet a guy in his home without knowing him, he was dark, yes. But I don’t want to get picked up and almost forced to go into some strangers homes.

Sweden is in a chaotic place.
The people want it better for immigrants.
The way to do that in my eyes are to make sure that we can deal with ourselves first.

It ain’t humane to put 10 people in a tiny appartment and tell them to work.

My ex boyfriend was from Africa. He came here hoping to stay. In there small appartment they lived 6 people. He was here for almost 3 years and he didn’t even know how to say “Thank You” in swedish.

We as a country have a responsibility agains the people here. Immigrant or not. And we can’t even take care of our own. How do you expect people that actually are immigrants flewing from their home is going to make it here.

Like my mother say;
“You don’t leave your home or the country you are born in for something worse”

I agree with her.
We need to take care of the people in Sweden. Immigrant or not.

I am happy about the re-election. The two of the best politicians left Sweden because of our blindness. The rest of the world can see it, but we can’t.

I have to add that the past years in Sweden we changed our traditions and that makes me extremely sad. We are Sweden and immigrants come here. We shouldn’t have to change everything about Sweden to make immigrants and tourists feel welcome.

This is enough.

Maybe I was wrong to express my point of view about feminism, but it was what went trough my head. My opinion.
I accept differences, but let me have my opinion, no matter if you agree or not.

I have my opinions based from what I feel, hear and see.
I congratulate you if you have felt, heard or seen it different.
That’s what makes us human.
